Non-chan's Lucky Dolls

The Lucky Dolls are made one by one by a 80-years-old Japanese lady,
who is called Non-chan by her grandchildren.
Non-chan is a mother of two daughters
and a grandmother of three girls including Hitomi and one boy.

When she once traveled around the world with her husband after his retirement,
she was deeply impressed by variety of people and variety of culture she encountered,
and also felt that she wanted people around world know Japanese culture.

After she returned home, Non-chan decided to make the Lucky Dolls for this purpose.
The lucky dolls are originally called Hinaningyo
which is used for celebration of traditional Japanese girl's festival, Hinamatsuri,
held on March 3rd wishing girls health and happiness.

Non-chan makes the Lucky Dolls with sheets of Chiyagami,
which is Japanese traditional craft paper or wrapping paper
with variety of colors and patterns.

Non-chan is always making the Lucky Dolls
wishing that they bring you and your family health and happiness.
