"Pat ATP" is a mitochondrion embedded in a beech microscopic crosssection. Somehow it "looks" like the (macro) rings of a tree however it's not. And ATP is the chemical molecule that mediates the transfer of energy from the mitochondrion to the rest of the cell. My best friend from college Pat, acquired it.
